全球唯一禁止女性駕駛的國家沙地阿拉伯，去年九月終於撤銷禁令，本月初正式向首批女性發出駕駛執照，路上首次出現女司機。為宣揚此「德政」及向全世界展示女性國民在汽車運動中的可能性，FIA認可之當地賽車機構Saudi Arabian Motorsport Federation更讓首位女賽車手Aseel Al Hamad註冊，即時成為各車廠之籠絡對象。

這邊廂，Renault F1車隊邀請Aseel Al Hamad於日前的法國站賽事駕駛F1賽車試跑，宣傳廠方10年後重返法國賽道；那邊廂，2008年收歸印度汽車集團Tata Motors旗下的Jaguar，亦不放過開發女性汽車市場的機會，於同一天在沙地阿拉伯舉辦World Driving Day活動，並為Aseel Al Hamad提供F-Type於賽道上進行hot lap，標誌著所有人不分男女都可享受駕駛樂趣。事後她更說：「Having loved cars since I was a child, today is highly emotional for me. This is the best driving moment of my life. I hope people around the world will share in our joy today by sharing their most memorable driving story using #worlddrivingday.」可見Aseel Al Hamad未來之工作將會接踵而至。
